Duplex scanning

Do any of you currently do vascular duplex scanning? I am very keen to learn. I would like to know how you trained, how long it took and where you went do the training. Were you able to find an expert to mentor you and how much time did it take for you to feel competent?

I personally don't scan, as we have a very active VAU, however the Royal College of surgeons is running a course for registrars who want to learn to scan, this is being supervised by local VAU's, and maybe worth accessing if you want to learn to scan.

I scan but only for for AAA screening and was trained by the units vascular scientist
